Eighty pioneering Kingdom leaders from diverse Asian contexts are gathering to surface insights, forge relationships and create initiatives to keep us on the leading edge of God’s mission in a rapidly changing world.

What is the Forum?

Insight from leaders, for leaders

The gathering is a forum, not a conference. It will gather 80 pioneering missional entrepreneurs (from the marketplace, government, non-profits/mission orgs., education and more) to surface their insights and innovations in holistic witness.

The forum’s content will be generated through dialogue among diverse voices as we probe personal and public witness in all spheres of life. Expert presenters – in the areas of digital tech, global youth, the environment, and more – will present, but they will serve as a springboard into deeper collaborative understanding, not as the final word.

Contributions to the forum will be synthesized and developed into resources for other missional leaders from the Majority World.

Why?

Expanding insight, deepening impact

There is a gap of understanding and need for the contribution of Majority World (Asia, Africa, Latin America) missional lay leaders to shape the future of Christian witness.

While most Christians live outside the West (nearly 70%), most Christian money and resources and, therefore, paradigms and priorities for mission still come from the Western minority. The global church’s rich diversity is submerged. The subtle message becomes: the West has the ideas, the rest do the work.

Also, at the recent 2024 Lausanne Congress, speakers highlighted that global mission conversations and mobilization efforts typically sideline “99% of the church”: lay people. They have their feet fully in the world, understanding its needs and engaged in its transformation.
