Latin America and the Caribbean Global Insight Forum

Learning from the Leading Edge

  • Fall 2027
  • Latin America and the Caribbean
  • In Spanish, with English translation
  • By invitation

One hundred leaders, one conversation

Forum key art — leaders from across Latin America and the Caribbean, one with hands raised in worship, over a ground of Latin American tilework, papel picado, a hillside city and a domed cathedral.
Upcoming
100
Missional leaders

Transformative Kingdom leaders from Latin America and the Caribbean are gathering to surface insights, discern God's work, and forge relationships to keep us on the leading edge of God's mission in a rapidly changing world.

  1. Surface insights

Their insights and innovations in holistic witness, drawn out through dialogue.

  2. Discern God's work

Attentive to God's work in the world, and to the challenges and needs before God's people.

  3. Forge relationships

Space for relationship and rest, so hearts and minds can reflect together.

A forum, not a conference

  • A conference: Content is delivered from the stage

This forum: Content is discovered in dialogue among diverse voices

  • A conference: Experts have the final word

This forum: Expert presenters are a springboard into deeper collaborative understanding

  • A conference: An exhausting schedule

This forum: Structured rhythms of reflection, with space for relationship and rest

  • A conference: Notes that stay in a notebook

This forum: Learnings the room can see in real time, developed afterward into resources for leaders across the Global South

Why?: Expanding insight, deepening impact

69%
Of Christians live in the Global South
99%
Of the church is lay people

Sources: World Christian Encyclopedia; speakers at the 2024 Lausanne Congress.

Yet most Christian money and resources, and therefore the paradigms and priorities for mission, still come from the North. The global church's rich diversity is submerged.

The subtle message becomes: the West has the ideas, the rest do the work.

Global South lay leaders have their feet fully in the world, understanding its needs and engaged in its transformation. The forum exists so their contribution can shape the future of Christian witness.

How the forum works

Dialogue and discovery. The forum is a learning journey, not an exhausting conference.

  1. Devotional reflection

Structured rhythms that ground each day.

  2. Attentiveness

Attending to God's work in the world.

  3. Discernment

Of the challenges and needs before God's people, and their calling to witness to the Lordship of Jesus in all of creation.

  4. Relationship and rest

Space for hearts and minds to reflect on God's work and God's world.

Learning in real time

An onsite researcher and AI tools for analysis let the community gathered see its learnings as they emerge.
